Elves Chasm - Grand Canyon
“Consciousness is a singular
of which the plural is unknown.”
— Erwin Schroedinger, Nobel Prize winning quantum physicist
“Be One with the water!”
I tell myself
this is to be authentically
intelligently
truly me
It is to know my Self
as water
and fire
and earthen stone
and wind
to be One with the River
is to know how to flow
how to adapt this self
to the particularities of circumstance
Crystal’s raging rapid or tube sucking whirlpools
or the 4.5 billion year old secret quiet
of liquid polished mirror ebony Vishnu Schist
letting go and embracing
Now
while also and always flowing true
To be One with the River
is to know my inseparability
my elemental belonging
rightness and
connectivity
with all that is
For who can say
whether the River begins
with a rain drop
or if its womb
is in the ocean deep?
All that is River
All that is Water
is who I am too
some 90 percent at birth
some 70 percent perhaps — if I die old
So let me be true
to my nature too
awaken
and flow
and adapt
transform
and cut and shape what appears as solid stone
by running
breathing
dreaming
living true
nurturing Life all around me
knowing
That too
I Am.
“Everybody understands the single drop
merging into the ocean.
One in a million understands the ocean
merging into a single drop.”
— Kabir
Note: This return and reintegration from a Grand Canyon boating trip was my most difficult of the 6 I have made. More on that anticipated in the next post, however…
I dedicate this post to readers Brenda Loew, a healthcare practitioner who knows the Oneness I point towards, and Darvas Boxes, without whose encouragement I might still be circling in the eddy, wondering how or if I might ever find words to describe…. Thank you.
